Exploring Pinewood Reservoir with the Family

The First Day of Spring could not have been any more beautiful. The sunshine was shining, the sky was clear, it was warming up, and the wind was fairly calm. Overall, it was amazing and called for lots of outside time. So we decided to go on a family exploration trip to a beautiful area nearby. It’s called Pinewood Reservoir and it’s in Loveland, Colorado. It is stunning! There is a trail that actually goes all the way around the water, but due to ice and snow still being on the ground we weren’t able to take it all the way around. Honestly I doubt my kiddos would have made it as it’s a pretty long trail.

The boys had a blast and I was so happy I was able to capture some of the sweet moments. They did some rock picking and stick playing and all the things kids should be doing in nature.

I wanted to keep this post short, but I had to share our beautiful Colorado first day of Spring. I hope you all were able to spend it outdoors as well. And hopefully this is the start of lots of nature time for us all.
