{G Family Holiday}

I love seeing big families come together for family photos. While it can sometimes make me a bit nervous as it can be trickier for photos, I love seeing those who aren’t together often come together to capture this moment in their lives. The Mom of the group had been requesting family photos for quite some time. So I was so excited when Danielle approached me to set up a session as a gift for their Mom.

As a mom myself, I know how precious photos are. We all change so quickly and it’s so hard when you don’t see each other all the time. Our kids are growing so fast, and even we as adults are still changing as we reach different stages in our lives.

Photos are so important. Before I was a photographer I was still always snapping away on whatever camera I had. After I became a mom, the amount of photos I took quadrupled. I want to remember as much as I can about this exact point in our life. About every point in our life.

This is why I am a photographer. To help people capture time. <3

Now about the photos. First of all, it was the most beautiful day we have had in quite some time. The sun was bright and setting beautifully over the mountains. The weather was a bit cool but perfect. The lake was absolutely motionless and clear as day with the stunning reflection of the mountains and trees.

I had never been to this specific location until recently, and I have to say it quickly rose to the top of my list for locations this time of year. Everything about River’s Edge Natural Area is perfection.
